It's Fox News, bitch

I've never understood why so many liberals took Fox News so seriously as a threat to American democracy. It's like taking American Idol or the New Kids on the Block seriously as a threat to democracy. Ratings matter most to those who could give a shit about their credibility. Fox News, like professional wrestling, has more important things to think about than how popular they are.

And the Daily Show's John Oliver makes the powerful argument for why Fox News has defied the elites to demonstrate that popularity and journalistic integrity make for a big can of political whoopass.

Hot damn. Feel the integrity.

How does Fox News do it? Because they're just better than you. And tougher. And show a lot more cleavage.

At some point, someone's going to have to give Fox their props and carve out another spot on Mount Rushmore for Roger Ailes.

For now, Fox has an audience of millions. And, if you laught at that, elitist, just ask Britney Spears how much a million is. She'll show you how counting and popularity compensate for being a laughing stock.

It's Fox News, bitch.

It's her perogative.
