The benefits of experience
I used to think that the major advantage of Hillary Clinton's experience in foreign policy matters was her stateswoman-like and whiny failure to take responsibility for her vote for the war in Iraq.
But as it turns out, the benefits of experience just never stop.
Clinton errs on Pakistan
I don't mind people screwing up. I mind people condescending those who think about foreign policy matters more deeply than they do when their understanding of those matters is so shaky. I mind people pretending to have more to offer than they really do and looking their noses down on others who do actually have more to offer because they want the job so much. I don't trust that kind of person with authority. And neither should any of us.
The more I watch it, the clearer it becomes that Hillary Clinton is a poseur. She fakes serious foreign policy thought like she fakes that forced laugh of hers.
I've had quite enough of the Hillary Clinton Experience. I just hope that America wisens up from its patronizing forceful ways. And if not, the Hillary Clinton Experience will surely be a lesson in hubris.
For all of us.
