Man of the Year
Bill Kristol and I have agreed on more over the course of this war than I ever would have expected. I do think Bill needs to be thinking seriously about the mistakes involved with a military campaign of liberation on behalf of a population that is not on board, is likely to view their liberators as aggressors, invaders, and occupiers, and who do not trust their liberators' motives.

But, on this matter, I think Bill gets it right and Time Magazine is both obtuse in its pick of Vladimir Putin and too squeamish to support our noble efforts in Iraq.
