What it means to be an American

Red gets to the heart of it, I think. To be an American means to be pledged to one anothers' freedom. Not to power over one another or even power over other nations.

It means to be pledged to freedom. Mine and yours. For all of us.

It'll be nice to live in an America, some day, where that is more true than not.
